Milan airport - Linate or Malpensa?

Question

I'm flying to Milan in September and have a choice of flying into Linate of Malpensa. We have to get public transport into the city. From which airport is it handier/cheaper to get into central Milan?

i'm italian and i live in Milano.....Linate is better then Malpensa!!!!!

linate is closer but you need to catch a bus

malpensa has trainstation right in the terminal that goes straight to the castello sforzesco ( castle) if you like you can catch the subway from there too to go anywhere in the city...its like  1 euro

Linate is closer, but is not such a great issue, unless you're really in hurry :)

Linate is 10 km from the center of Milan. Malpensa is 46 km away.

Linate Airport is located about 10 km from the city centre. You can easily take bus 73 and get off at Piazza San Babila (not far from Duomo). Then, take subway if your accommodation or destination is not in that area...
