course of time.

to a reduced pay package, which sees him earn 1.6 million Euros a year. This is a much lower salary package than the 4.5 million Euros a campaign he had previously been on.
Thiago Silva was being offered 7.5 million Euros at the Parisian outfit, however, Milan thought against the transfer of the club captain and the move fell through. Silva’s agent demanded for a rise in pay for the defender, given
that he was being paid 3 million a year at the club.

“We’re not interested in Silvestre because we have Thiago Silva. With Silva we have found an agreement [on a new contract] that satisfies both parties.”
Galliani commented that he was not worried about other players making higher demands.
