The new club signing has stated that despite losing Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva, the club will continue being competitive at the highest level possible.
Many have seen the exodus at AC Milan as the setting of the sun on an era at the San Siro. With http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Adriano-c3773 Galliani conceding that it is difficult to lure players to the club, it only strengthens the claims that the Diavolo are not the side they once were.
Milan have been significantly weakened by the massive exodus which has seen the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Clarence-Seedorf-c9275 leave the club after they were not given an extension to their contracts by the Rossoneri management.
This coupled with the departures of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Thiago-Silva-c34903 has put further weight behind the notion that the club has become a feeder club of sorts.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Riccardo-Montolivo-c31049 was talking to the press after their friendly win over the Champions League winners, Chelsea. He remarked that he did not feel that the club was in the midst of a downfall. Even though, he conceded that the two players who were sold were
exceptional players, Montolivo went on to state that the club was successful without them as well and it was not a huge cause of concern.
He was quoted to have said:
“It doesn’t seem to me that Milan are struggling.”
The midfielder was used as a substitute in the victory against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786, and he went on to remark:
“Of course we have lost two phenomenal players, but the club was strong before http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Thiago-c34888 and Ibrahimovic, was strong with them and will get back to the top even without them.”
Riccardo Montolivo has come on a free transfer from Fiorentina; he was on course to make his transfer to Milan a year back, as he was in the last year of his contract at the club. Fiorentina rejected the Milanello bid and opted to keep him for another year,
despite knowing that he will be leaving on a free transfer in the coming season.
Milan have not made any high profile signings this summer, but have been heavily linked with a move for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ricardo-c30950 Kaka.
