The Rossetts Mercedes-Benz Commercials Novices’ Hurdle at Fontwell is creating a buzz among the enthusiasts of this sport, who are anxiously looking forward to it. This race is run over 2 miles and 4 furlong andholds a purse of £2,599.

Oscar Davy is a tough contender, who has good chance on this track. He bagged a victory at Fontwell on 26th February, 2012 in the Toteplacepot Lough Derg Novices’ Hurdle at Fontwell where he was sent as a race favourite.

The son of Oscar, out of Galtee Castle trained by Philip Hobbs performed in a stellar manner, as he defeated, c**k Of The Rock, by a massive margin of 15 lengths, crossing the wire unchallenged with Richard Johnson as his jockey.
This terrific performance was a great start to his season. His connections including his owner, Andy Ash, are confident about his prospects of winning.
Fergall has decent chances of winning, as his recent performance gives him a steady shot of securing a placed position. The son of Norwich, out of mare Gaybrook Girl, finished fifth in a line-up of 18 runners in the Bathwick Tyres “National Hunt” Novices’
Hunt at Wincanton on 21st January, 2012.
Trained by Seamus Mullins for Andrew c***s And Tara Johnson, the five-year-old gelding could develop with this race.
Milarrow is the one who is stirring most of the interest from the punters and bookies in this event. His prospects of winning look bright but he could be challenged by, Oscar Davy, who triumphed on this track before. The contender looking to finish
in third place is Fergall.
