Mild Autism?

I have close family members with mild Autism (my dad and brother). I am getting worried I might have very mild Autism as I have really bad behaviour, and sometimes I cannot help it. I get really angry over really small things and have trouble making friends and being social. When I am angry I throw things and hit people but when I am happy, My family members say I am very nice at at the other extreme. Is there a chance I have Mild Autism or just have bad behaviour? My father wasnt Diagnosed until he was an adult as it was very minor.

  1. No matter what diagnosis you get, you have to take responsibility for your behavior.  Practice self control.  If you cannot, get help.  The diagnosis is a false construct to getting the services you need... if you need a diagnosis to get services, find one that doesn't haunt you throughout the rest of your  life, choose something like depression or something that is more transient (temporary)....

  2. I got this from a website:

"Core symptoms which define autism consist of deficits of varying degrees in three areas of development:

        1. Defective social or personal relatedness behaviors

        2. Language or, more broadly, communication difficulties

        3. Play or preferred activities which are characterized by preoccupations having a repetitive or stereotyped quality."

my brother has autism, but is also bipolar. his autism is shown mostly through the fact that he cannot talk and has a harder time communicating sign language even. however, you can tell he is bipolar because he goes through the same fits as you do. one second he will be angry throwing things and pounding his fist, the next he will be very happy and laughing. there could be a chance that you have a slight case of bipolar disorder more than autism. it could be a number of things. i also go through those fits as well and have been told it might be minor bipolar fits. the only way you can really find out is to visit a doctor, a psychologist / psychiatrist, or someone who can evaluate you. good luck.
