Mild Pain from sprained ankle?

I sprained my ankle about two hours ago walking down the stairs. I have no swelling but I am getting some shooting pain. I can walk somewhat but when I sit down i get this shooting pain around my ankle. Should I put ice or go to the hospital?

I would recommend going to the hospital to have them check it out to see if maybe a break might have occurred (an example only).
