Question:

Mildew-resistant towels? Also, how often do you change your towels?

I'm not sure what the problem is, but too often now, after only a couple uses my towels start to smell bad. I often shower twice a day, so I guess that doesn't really leave them much time to dry out on the rack, but surely some people don't need to change their towels that frequently?

1. How many times can you use your towels until they start to smell a little funky?

2. Do you have any experience with mildew-resistant towels? I am looking at natural solutions only, so no chemical-treated stuff, please. Any opinion on bamboo towels?

Any extra comments / tips would be appreciated. Thanks! :)

  1. make sure when you wash the towels you dry them good it may not be how many times you are using them but that they don't dry enough when you wash them and always pre soak towels with detergent before the actual wash

  2. 1) Purchase a towel warmer.  They are relatively inexpensive and your towels will dry without mildewing.  You also get the added benefit of a warm towel when stepping out of the shower.

    2) Bamboo towels are OK but I find they don't really dry properly - they are soft however.  You may want to try a microfiber towel (if you can find it).  They are soft and seem to dry quickly.
