Mildura - Victoria Australia - Tell me about this place?

What do you think of this place Mildura Victoria, what is the money like there and people

It's in the far north-west corner of the state.  I haven't lived there but I notice it usually has the highest temperatures in the summer - very hot!!  (The winter minimums can be pretty cold too.)  It's on the Murray River which used to be a great river, but because of the drought, and people taking water out to irrigate crops, there's not enough water left.

A very nice prosperous country town where the major industry is fruit growing including wine grapes, also wheat/sheep. The people are like in any country town, generally friendly and like a joke, but they know each other quite well so it can take a little while to really fit in.

At the moment it has been in drought for several years and I'm sure this would have adversely affected the economy.
