  1. Running fast out of the start is about the worst thing you can do, imo. Maybe take the first lap a little faster than your pace (2 minutes a lap if your going for 8). Do the 2nd and 3rd a little slower than the first, but try not to slow down continually. Try to take the fourth lap as fast as you can, just keep telling yourself your done when you finish it. I usually get a little mental kick of energy when i start the fourth lap.

  2. I love running too.

You just have to work on pacing yourself better, and of course train regularly.  8 minutes is a good goal to strive for.  You won't be able to keep up that fast pace until you've become a little bit fitter.  Try to fit in one longer run about once a week, of 2 or 3 miles.  Go as slow as you like - the important thing is to keep going, to improve your stamina.

Also try to do an interval training session once a week - that is where you alternate a minute or 2 of fairly fast running with a minute or 2 of slow 'recovery' running - repeating at least 3 or 4 times.  Intervals are a great way to increase your overall speed and fitness.  But don't overdo it - you could injure yourself if you try to do too much too suddenly, so take it gradually.  And although it's great to want to beat your fastest time, don't worry about running fast every time - the key is to be consistent.  You'll get there - good luck!

  3. Slow down on your first half and keep a consistent pace, over time you will become fitter and be able to have a faster time.

  4. ok.. on first lab just slowly... second one you can speed up a LITTLE!... third one just little faster the last lab try running faster and the last 100m or 150m SPRINT!!

just don't don't stop at anytime...

after you finish running...just keep walking so theres no cramps

when i do that ^^ my time is about 7:10 =]

    hope that helps

  5. if your breathing is a problem, i find that its easier to just take deep breaths through your mouth the entire time to get more oxygen circulating, it helps me while i do the mile run, and when u r running the mile, it helps to try and find a lighter pace that you r sure that you can keep up with the entire time, and just increase the frequency each time u run the mile  good luck =)
