Mile run in under 8 min???

ok so 4 volleyball we have 2 run a mile in under 8 min i used 2 have a 730 mile but now 2day we ran the mile it was 912!i have 2 rerun it.i pushed so hard 2 day i was weezin and my legs almost gave out.i really pushed hard!any tips??i dont wanna go out and run again 2 day because im tired from vb and i dont wanna injer myself.

  1. Ummm my fastest mile was 6 minutes flat and right before i did it i drank a Red Bull.  I don't know if it was that but you can never push too hard.  As long as you keep running and focus you can run at least 5 minles easily.  If you know someone is faster than you keep up with them and don't let yourself say you can't because ANYTHING is posible in sports.  


  2. You need to keep yourself at a steady rate, if you don't then you will just die gasping, you really need to work on your endurance. I finished mile in 11 minutes so i wont make fun of you.

  3. You need to train for distance and the speed will come.  Consistency is the key.  You have to train for it, simple as.  You're probably just a bit out of shape. Put the hours in and it'll come back.  Get some longer runs in to build your endurance base.
