In 8th grade i used to run a mile in 6:08, freshman year i got 6:36 and my soph yr i got a 7:12. And the thing is that ive actually been running more ever since i got out of 8th grade since i play football for my school. so why do you think my mile time is going down year by year

  1. If you've gotten taller, it may be harder for you to run faster.

  2. i agree wit Mikey D, do sprinting definetly. that rlly sux though =[[

  3. Yeah, i agree, next year you should try being a sprinter.

  4. I think it's because you're putting on so much muscle weight from football and you aren't running as long distances but getting many breaks and short energy usage. thus i think your endurance has gone down for long distance but for sprinting you've probably gotten faster at that.

  5. Probably as someone else said muscle weight. And your training isnt right most likely. Try doing some interval workouts to increase your speed.
