Okay...does the speed limit change when you see the sign or after you pass it ??

I have been wondering this for a while....

  1. By the time you reach the sign, you had better be doing that speed. After you pass the sign, they are able to enforce it. A lot of small town police forces generate revenue by hiding just past speed limit signs - especially those that are adjacent to rural highways....

  2. You are suppose to be at that speed when you reach the sign.

  3. If I can see it, I can drive it. Nothing says speed limit from this sign forward is ...What if you just got on at a ramp and the first sign you see says 75. Is a cop going to pull you over and say, "hey, there was a sign 6 miles back that said 55."

Nope...again, if you can see it without binoculars, you can drive it.

If its slowing to a lower limit, start slowing when you see it and be close by the time you get there. Most police aren't going to be sitting behind the sign unless your in Oliver Springs, TN

  4. It should be after you pass the sign if it's a higher speed and if it's a slower speed you should be getting close to the posted speed when you pass it.

  5. after you pass it.

  6. When you pass the sign, thats the speed limit.

  7. The speed limit sign is posted at the start of the road's speed limit - it's always a good idea, however, to began slowing so that you are going reasonable close to the new posted limit when you pass the sign.

  8. When you pass the sign... i guess you feel asleep during the Drivers test haha just playing (:
