Question:

Miley's Interview in Seventeen Magazine?

I was just wondering if any of you read the editor's letter about miley, as well as the interview

what really disappointed me was that Ann (the editor) went on and on about how she is a great role model, but no where in the interview did it mention how she gives back to fans, or whether she helps the environment, or contributes to charities

In my mind, role models are people that provide good examples to follow. I'm strongly against how Seveneteen even considers her to be a role model just because she stars in Hannah Montana

There are so many other girls out there who are real inspirations and wouldn't spend the whole article talking about their "big b***s", "tragic breakup" and how she travels with her Bible anywhere.

Wouldn't you rather see girls like America Ferrara, or even girls who aren't celebrities who truly make a difference? People who are involved in anti-drug campaigns, people who start their own websites, people who are actively involved in charities.

  1. i read it and i ripped the cover off when i found out miley cyrus was on it. i agree, she DOESN'T give back to her fans. She's so full of herself. and i totally agree, i am extremely disappointed that seventeen for putting her in the mag.

  2. I like Miley, but I completely understand what you're trying to say.

Wouldn't it be nicer if Seventeen had a girl on the cover who wasn't famous?

A girl that has done something very well in her community?

Or a girl that has made a big impact on someone else's life?

Seventeen is just so... you know... nowadays. It's pretty sad, because isn't the whole magazine contradicting its own self? First, they talk about girls with eating disorders, or girls with obesity. Or something like that. But then they talk about staying skinny and "dieting" and all of that c**p. It just doesn't make sense to me...

  3. I completely agree with you 100%!  I don't see how Miley Cyrus can even be considered a role model after all of the s*utty things that she has been doing (unless some people consider that being a role model)!  So she is on Hannah Montana...so what?  That doesn't make her a role model!  Also, did you hear how much she was bragging about how "Nick Jonas thought that I was the most beautiful girl he'd ever seen" and "I still think that there is hope that we can get back together and get married someday"!  I almost gagged when I read that!  Who the &#$^*&$@*% does she think she is?

  4. that interview was completely all about her. i was so annoyed reading it. and she hasnt given back anything at all. she never does. she just takes and takes and takes. and she doesnt even have big b***s. and then she said what was on underwear that her friend bought her. WHO GIVES A CARE! i sure dont. it was just a pointless article and the ppl from seventeen obviously dont understand what else she's put on the internet and how shes not a good role model AT ALL.

  5. Don't remind me. I don't mind Miley but the interview was one article I skimmed and never read it again.  I don't consider her a role model at all and I would actually like to see America Ferrara or someone like her on the cover.

  6. That article was nauseating.  She is so d**n full of her self.  She makes me sick.
