Miliika all set for big victories after her success in the Weatherbys Bloodstock Insurance Maiden Stakes
With Miliika’s success in the Weatherbys Bloodstock Insurance Maiden Stakes at Brighton on 22nd May, 2012, trainer Rae Guest seems to be ecstatic about what she can do in future.
With rider Seb Sanders on her back, the daughter of Green Desert, out of Miss Anabaa, bolted through the track and demonstrated her speed on good to firm surface of the track.
Using her winning shot of 1 to 2 to her advantage, she successfully broke through the wire first, 2 ½ lengths before the Nick Littmoden trained Millibar, who raced with a 7-1 chance, whereas the third place was secured by Atmanna, daughter of Manduro,
out of Samdaniya, who finsihed six lengths after the runner-up.
The bay filly, under the ownership of Bradmill Ltd, delivered an exceptional performance in her maiden, mounted by jockey, William Carson.
Under his guidance, the three-year-old brought her best to the track, but narrowly missed the victory by a small distance of half-length to Shahzan, in the Sheffield Insulations Maiden Stakes which took place at Doncaster on 5th May,
2012.
Satisfied with her performances, Rae Guest commented:
“She ran very well first time and she'd probably have won if she'd kept straight, but she was green and that's to be expected. That was a good maiden and this looked a very easy maiden. It was just a question of whether she handled the track, but she
did and it was a nice, easy race for her.”
Brighton was a lucky track for jockey Seb Sanders, as he also scored in the Dandy d**k Theatre Royal Brighton atgtickets.com Fillies' Handicap, where his mount for the race was the Clive Brittain trained, Methayel.
The daughter of Araafa, out of mare First Breeze, raced with winning odds of 2 to 1, and delivered in the way she was expected to. She truly blossomed on the track and finished 1 ½ lengths ahead of Sasheen.
This was the first victory of the season for the four-year-old filly, which she acquired in a grand manner. It was a remarkable improvement from her run in the "Win A Free Stove With Morstoves" Handicap at Kempton 1st May, 2012,
where she finished in sixth place.
