  1. Honestly once you get into the SpecOps community I doubt you will want to go back to the regular military. Two different worlds! You bust your butt to get into SpecOps and then you get special treatment ,get away with a lot more and so on.

  2. To work as an RN in the military you need a bachelors degree. Check into the Air Force Pararescue or Navy SEALs or Coast Guard Rescue Swimmer.

  3. This is what the recruiter told my son:  he has to "earn" his way into special operations.  He told him that first he had to enlist and then work his way up to it.  Enlisting with a degree probably gives you a higher rank to start out with.  What the recruiter also told us is that the medical field is usually safer than other fields(i.e. mechanics, communications)because the meds ususally get placed in and around a solid building that serves as a hospital.  My son is currently in Vilseck, Germany where he works in a hospital, learning to be a x-ray tech.  He also goes to college to get his degree.  He is in the military since 2 years now and has not had orders to go to Iraq or Afghanistan......so when you look at a military career, evaluate the options and evaluate the safety for yourself.  If you want to find out what rank you would enlist with you can go to: www.military.com....good luck

  4. only if promoted

  5. Try the Army Civilian Acquired Skills Program if they still have it available.  Depending upon your skill, you could come in as a PFC or SPC with a lateral appt to SPC and SGT within 6 months.

There's many options open to you. :)

  6. If you have a degree already, see if you can get into the Officer's program. They will send you through college in exchange for 6 years of service. Entering the service as an officer instead of enlisted will look much better on your resume. Otherwise, you'll be a corpsman / medic and the pay will be much less. My daughter in law did that and she's a LT in the Navy, stationed in Okinawa Japan.

Don't let them snow you, stick to your guns and you'll be fine!

  7. Yes- Go to a recruiter and tell them you want to go SF. They will put you into 11B infantry- where real men go. You'll go to Fort Benning and hump around the wood for like e16 weeks. As long as you max out you can apply for SF school right after basic. within a year if you have the balls you can be there buddy.

  8. would you like to goto war zone like Afghanistan and Iraq

  9. You can change your MOS anytime that's what is great about the military.

  10. You can talk to a recruiter and see if you can get the Q course guaranteed in your contract. If you pass the Q course, with your medical experience you may be able to serve with the teams as an SF medic 18D or a just join as a combat medic 91W (previously 91B). If you want to go the whole way in nursing you can also try to attend USUHS (Uniformed Services University of Health Science). Check it out. A medical school for military only with a service obligation in exchange for tuition, room and board. It is a very competitive school.

    Good Luck
