I bought a military jacket at a thrift shop for a couple bucks and I love it. I was just curious if anyone knows what Norsel stands for? Just above the word Norsel is three crowns which are in a reverse pyramid (company logo I would guess). under the tag there is D104. It also has one other unique characteristic in that there is a flap that goes between the legs and buttons to the bottom of the front of the jacket. I just thought it might be neat to know the history of the company which made it or maybe the jacket itself.

  1. Sweden; it is a Swedish Army coat.  The three crowns are the national symbol of Sweden.  Norsel is probably the name of the maker and D104 is either a size indicator or the type of jacket.  The flap was originally a feature of jump coats or smocks as an additional layer of protection from the leg straps of the parachute harness

  2. kool u were in the military?

  3. Why don't you Google the company name. It sounds like it was make in Norway or was made for cold weather wear. The flap between the legs is a wind flap to keep the coat down in the wind. It is probably intended to be worn with snow pants of some sort.
