Once you do your 20 years in the military and retire. Will you still get your retirement check if you decide to live overseas(Africa, Europe, Asia, Australia, South America) after you retire

  1. yes you will still get your retirement funds./

    medical is doubtful.. most OCONUS bases do NOT permit retirees to receive care at their facilities.  


  2. Yes if you are approved to live in those countries you can retire and live there.

  3. The free medical would depend on where you are moving to. If there is a US Military treatment facility nearby then you would be eligible to receive care there. If there is not you would be in the equivalent of Tricare (and still need to pay the annual premium retirees must pay)

    Paywise you are entitled to your retirement pay regardless of where you live.
