Military and problems?

if i am depressed and my CO fails to realize this what can i do? i am planning on going to the bowen center because i feel like i am going to do some major damage to someone or myself because of how depressed i am. What would happen if i go on antidepressants or if i go down to the pre-ship academy and tell them that i am feeling depressed what could they do to me down there?

GO TALK TO A DOC NOW!!!  If you are contemplating hurting ANYONE, you need help.  There is nothing wrong with needing help.  Who cares what other will think or do if you seek the assistance you need.  If you are discharged for it, isn't that better than hurting yourself?  As for what the Navy will do, I don't know.  The Army (which I am an active member of) will allow you to seek any help you need.  Don't BS, don't try to dodge missions, just get help.   Please get help.

They WILL NOT separate you for depression.

Here at Ft Hood, we have the R&R center...Restoration and Resilience.  Basically it's a clinic full of mental health specialists that will sit there and listen to you and your problems.  They have testing known as "biofeedback."  It tests your body's responses to certain stressors and the health professionals teach you how to better cope with your emotions.  

Another approach you can take is your unit Chaplain.  They are skilled in dealing with troops that are battling depression and offer not only spiritual  support but emotional support as well.

You need help.  If you're thinking about hurting yourself or someone else...you need to seek help.  I'm pretty sure there's someone out ther that's worth a d@mn enough for you to go out and get yourself in the right frame of mind again.

Don't think that your CO doesn't care.  Leaders are not mind-readers.  Some people are introverts where as some are extroverts.  We can't tell if someone is really depressed unless it's made known.  Some people don't exhibit any signs of depression whereas some show all the signs.  Everyone is different.

Please...get yourself some help.....

What do you mean depressed if it is a actual depression you're in they will discharge you.
