Is a marine classified as a soilder or as a saylor. If someones been in the marines and no or you just no 4 sure plz could u tell me?

  1. If you were to address a group of Marines, you would definitely call them "Marines," not soldier or sailor.  Soldiers are in the Army, and Sailors are in the Navy.  While we're at it, you would address people in the Air Force as "Airmen'" regardless of gender.

    BTW, you may already know, but the Marines fall under the command of the Secretary of the Navy...  Even so, they are for sure NOT sailors!

  8. Sailors are called just that, but Admirals aren't.  Soldiers are called just that, but Generals aren't.  

    Marines are called Marines no matter what the rank from Commandant to the lowest private.  We may be under the department of the Navy, but make no mistake.......We are the Men's department!

  9. A Marine is a Marine. A Sailor is someone in the Navy. A Soldier is in the Army. An Airman is in the Air Force.
