  1. It could be a few days or as long as a year.  It really depends upon   #1.  when you want to go  #2.   Job availability and  School Training Dates.

I've worked with a few people that came into my office one day and by the end of the week, they were off to Basic Training.  Those folks of course were fully qualified in all areas without having a law record or medical problems and they scored well on the ASVAB.  These people also were very flexible on jobs.

You can officially spend up to 1 year in the Delayed Entry Program (DEP).  Generally, the 1 year wait would happen if you are a new Senior in High School.  If you have already graduated, it would most likely be within 1-4 months.

  2. It all depends if they have the room to send you now or you'll have to wait till there is setting available

  3. you get to choose your ship-out date

  4. It depends on a number of things. Sometimes it can depend on the job you choose, and when there's an opening in job training (AIT) for you.
