  1. Prosobee is soy formula and Nutramigen is hypoallergenic formula that is lactose and soy free. Sometimes babies have problems digesting the proteins that are in lactose and soy formulas.

What medication is your son on for the reflux? Many doctors prescribe Zantac, but in many instances, that stuff is nothing more than a glorified placebo. Ask for Prevacid if your baby is not on it. The Prevacid will likely help tremendously with the reflux. If your doctor will not prescribe Prevacid (it's more expensive for the insurance company, so many doctors will not prescribe it), ask your doctor to make sure your son's dose of Zantac, if that is what he is on, is current. Babies need more Zantac in a single dose as they get older and gain weight.

Good luck. My baby has reflux and a lactose intolerance and the soy formula makes her nice and constipated. I can sympathize with your struggles.

  2. How old is he?  The best thing to do would be to nurse him if you are able to.

  3. You re-lactate and breastfeed.
