Mill Luciano aiming for a hat trick in the Magners Dual Distance Trophy – Heat 2 at Nottingham
Nottingham will host the Magners Dual Distance Trophy – Heat 2 on Monday, 14th May over 500 metres flat. Participating in the race are University Man, Slick Hawk, Boherna Bridge, Imperial Boy, Mill Luciano and Bringthemhome. The prize money set
for the winner is £125.
Leading with the best credentials is Mill Luciano, Ace Hi Rumble’s three-year-old black son out of b***h, Droopys Finola. He cracked into the season on 16th January in the Stadium Bookmakers Super Stayers Trophy at Nottingham over 730 metres.
Mill Luciano finished fourth after racing for 46.59 seconds while the race was won by the 6/4 favourite of the race, Conkon, who timed the track distance in 46.28 seconds.
Settling as the runner up was Twittering Debs who took 46.34 seconds for concluding the race.
His first success of the season was in a Grade S2 680 metres flat at Nottingham on 18th February. He completed the trip in 42.72 second and led the runner up of the race, Drifting Home, by a mere neck’s margin. He timed the track in 42.74 seconds.
The 7/4 favourite of the race, Mosquito Pilot, ended fourth after taking 43.10 seconds.
The three-year-old remained winless for the next eight races.
Finally on 24th April he was the 2/1 favourite winner of a Grade S2 680 metres flat at Nottingham. He clocked the track distance in 42.96 seconds and led the runner up of the race, Tynwald Extel, by 5 ¾ lengths.
He took 43.42 seconds to race while taking up the third slot was Lisdrum Sally.
As if avenging for all the missed opportunities, Mill Luciano bagged the very next race too. He won a Grade S1 680 metres flat on 28th April at Nottingham by timing the track distance in 42.99 seconds.
Leaping through the three lengths’ differential and taking 43.23 seconds to conclude the race was Monagea Fantasy.
Settling third behind the winner was the 7/4 favourite of the race, Drifting Home.
Winning the last two races in a row indicates his ability and potential to dominate the track tonight and strike the seasonal hat trick.
Tonight will be his fourth win of the season.
