Mill Pegasus and Fabulous Pin look good in the Molson Coors Maiden 480m Trophy
Six hounds will look to out finish each other in the all important the Grade OR Molson Coors Maiden 480m Trophy at Nottingham with the prize money of £350.
The betting forecast indicates that Mill Pegasus sent at 6 to 4 will bag the trophy after his impressive debut at Shelbourne Park on 21 September, 2011, where he finished second in a Grade OR race to winner Annual Cha, after being sent as the 9 to 4 choice.
The son of Head Bound, out of Minnies Ferina since his debut has been going onwards and upwards. The K. Macari trained hound finished first in his next race defeating Farloe Noah by 2 ½ lengths in a 525 yards long Grade OR race at Shelbourne Park.
He finished fifth in his next race over the same venue and at the same distance. However, he is exiting a victory at Nottingham where he was sent as the 4 to 7 favourite in a 480 metres long Grade OR race defeating Jasons Hawk by 2 lengths.
The D. Firmager trained Fabulous Pin, is the slowest out of all the heat winners in the lineup, but she has scope after posting three wins on the trot at Nottingham over distances ranging from 30 metres to 500 metres and then cut back down to 480 metres.
The last race was an OR race at 480 metres that the black b***h won with ease, defeating Copeland Robbie by 2 lengths after breaking from trap number 1.
Copeland Robbie is back in the mix, and he will be plotting his revenge on Fabulous Pin at Nottingham last time around.
The blue dog has been impressive in his last 5 outings 4 different tracks, but his last run at Nottingham will take him a long way in the Bookmakers’ eyes.
Dee Double You, Jasons Hawk and Copeland Robbie are all sent at the odds of 8 to 1. Dee Double You has been finishing on the money more often than not, and the black dog will be vying for a third place finish.
Fabulous Pin will be a strong contender in today’s final, while Mill Pegasus will pose some problems for her. Dee Double You is stronger than most and if he gets a clear run than he will be the one to watch.
