  1. I've since learned reading on here that debt collectors came to the house tuesday to repossess everything.....well that pretty much tells me the father did it to stop the debt collectors getting anything and because he couldn't handle the situation he and his family would be faced with. I suspect the wife and child knew nothing, or very little about how much debt and how bad things had got. I believe the daughters body will be found buried deeper under the rubble. He probably shot her in her bedroom...the family were probably shot first, then the animals, before the fires were lit. Had he shot the animals first the wife and daughter would have tried to stop him or called for help...no mobile phones were used etc making me think he shot them first.

I think he hindered the emergency services getting to the property to make sure there were no assets whatsoever left for anyone to get. A complete and total job done...

But then, if he has secret homes surely they could be used as collateral?

Hmmm it's a weird case indeed....I'm glued to the news when the latest reports are in...

As for his frame of mind at the bbq, well if he was that good at hiding the truth from his wife and daughter he would certainly be able to hide it at a bbq....if the wife and daughter knew their house was about to be repossessed and they were about to lose everything I am sure they would have been depressed and not acting like everything was fine at the bbq.

Also , as for her having an affair....I doubt that.....they went to the bbq together, they left together, they went home together........what did he pop out for cigarretts and the wife sneak her fancy man in while the daughter was upstairs on the net? Nahhh....the man's body will be that of Chris Foster...

  2. And BBC news says that the other body is thought to be the body of an adult man. My husband is speculating that the wife was cheating and the husband killed the wife and lover and took off with the daughter.

Edit: The temporary claw has a good point.

  3. The other body is that of an adult. If it's that of Mr Foster, he could have shot his wife and then started the fires before killing himself? Wonder what's happened to their daughter.

  4. the butler did it is my guess

  5. And second body believed to be male.

  6. I think Mr Foster did it. I think the daughter's body will be found in the rubble of the main house.

I believe he did it when the balance of his mind was disturbed by the thought of losing everything they had worked for. A very sad story.

I believe he killed the animals because he couldn't bear to think of his pets with anyone else & killed his family so that they could all be together with no-one left grieving. The house was torched because they couldn't bear to think of anyone else living there.

  7. Maybe he shot the wife and kid, burned the house down and legged it.

  8. Murder by persons unknown and daughter kidnapped maybe?

  9. I think it was the father trying to escape all his debts

it has now been revealed that all the dogs and horses were also shot dead

  10. Really?

    That's scary.

  11. Most likely to be a murder-suicide and the daughter's body is yet to be discovered. Though I admit that I would be absolutely delighted if they don't find her body, because that would suggest she is still alive, and the daughter is the innocent party in all this.

I can't believe people are suggesting that the wife was having an affair and the husband killed her and her lover. That theory completely ignores the whole business and debt issue, which most certainly has played a major part in this tragedy.

Reports now say that bailiffs were going to seize all of Foster's assets on the Tuesday - and they did actually arrive at the property, only to find it cordoned off by police. His business had gone bust and was in serious debt, and he was also in debt to the taxman. His debts totalled almost £2million. The people who bought his previous property have said that they were inundated with letters from debt collectors and even had them calling at the property looking for Foster. It was clear that he was in a dire financial situation, yet was turning a blind eye to it and had no intention of dealing with it. He bought Osbaston House in 2004, so he was obviously in serious debt back then. But since then, he continued to live the high life. There was a court order put in place in May this year which meant he could not sell the property to pay off his debts. This effectively meant the house was no longer his.

I think he reached a point where it had all caught up with him. I'm almost certain that the wife and daughter would have had no idea how bad it had got. He would have felt like an utter failure. Instead of facing up to his problems (which would no doubt have meant facing bankruptcy), he decided to end everything. Killing only himself would have meant leaving the wife and daughter behind to deal with the debts.

Money is definitely at the root of this tragedy. There is another theory that the couple were murdered by an outsider and the daughter has been kidnapped. I think that's unlikely, but even if that turns out to be the case, it would still have happened because of the financial situation he was in. It's very sad that money has probably resulted in the death of an otherwise-happy family.

  12. Not a great surprise to me. When someone goes round and shoots all the animals (someone with a BIG problem psychologically speaking) then I think it was to be suspected once a body that had been shot had been found that this would be a murder case. Don't you? You don't have to be a criminal investigator to work that one out. My guess is that the man had so much debt etc that maybe yet another argument ensued between him and his wife and he just snapped. Poor man, poor family. They say that money is the root of all evil don't they?

  13. As soon as this first came out when the bodies were still 'missing' my brother in law had said that he thought that the father had shot his wife and daughter, set the house alight then shot himself because he was in so much debt. Apparently the house was close to being sold under bankruptcy laws so maybe he killed his family to avoid disappointing them then burnt the house down so no one else could take it after his death. It seems a case of i'm going down and i wanna take everything down with me. If this is the case then how selfish to take his family animals and house with him too. They say money is the root of all evil....

It certainly has made me wonder as the police don't seem to be looking for a suspect and if it was a murder surely they would be looking for witnesses and such now instead of leaving it so late. They say a crime is most likely to be solved in the first three days after it has happened, after that the forensic evidence starts to eb away so if they really think its murder by someone else why are they not appealing for witnesses etc?? It certainly makes you think....

  14. Well, that blows my initial theory out of the water.  Back to the day job!

What a sad state of affairs this case is going to turn out to be.

  15. well apparently they have also found the body of a man, husband perhaps, but where is the daughter?  what a really tragic story this is turning out to be.

  16. well its looking that way from what ive read...

just shows you, money doesnt buy happyness.......

  17. Where is her husband? Has he done it? Has he scarpered with her legacy? Would he kill his own wife and daughter? The property couldn't be sold under bankruptcy laws and that's probably why it was set on fire. I suppose it'll all come out in the end. Poor Mum and Daughter.
