My mom just found millions of lice eggs in my hair. She is a teacher and she said its the worst case of lice she has ever seen. Scary! I am sitting here with my hair soaking in olive oil and I wrapped my head in saran wrap, but school starts on Monday and I have a concert I'm going to on Friday so i need these lice gone NOW. Any natural and fast ways to kill these little buggers? Thanks!

  1. use some lice shampoo (drugstores). that will only kill the hatched lice. It won't kill the nits/eggs. You have to comb them out or use an electric lice comb (drugstores.)

    good luck!

  2. ewws that is so nasty!! lol..i had lice too when i was younger and my mom bought me the lice treatment from the store..or call the doctor and have him prescribe you something asap!..how did u get lice? those have 2 be the nastiest itchiest thinver!

  3. Kelsey,

You need a really good lice comb and the ones you get with the shampoo are useless/.

Best one I have seen is called the NitFree Terminator and it is only available online from what I understand.  they will do rush shipping if you ask for a quote to do so.

For a bad infestation, I would get the comb as well as two bottles of their mousse and a can of Neon Nits as well which will help find the last few eggs that you need to get rid of.

Do whatever treatment you can right now but because lice are becoming immune to the chemcials in most of the lice shampoos, you will likely need the chemical free stuff that NitFree makes to finish off the infestation.

    Good luck.

  4. No home remedies ever work. You will need to go to Walgreen's or walmart and buy a lice shampoo and probably an electronic lice comb. The lice shampoo doesn't kill the eggs and that is what the electronic lice comb is for. Don't forget to get rid of your brushes and combs and wash all your bed linens because if you don't they will come back.

  5. put tea tree oil in your shampoo it will kill the lice AND prevent you from getting it again

  6. put  vinegar in a bowl then get a lice comb and put it in the bowl and then brush your hair with it

  7. Using olive oil might work...leave in on for several hours... the idea is to drown the lice.  I used mineral oil on my kids, however it is hard to wash that stuff out.  get help from mom with a nit come to get the eggs out.

  8. yeah lice = pain is a**

its really hard to get rid of them. you can use the shampoo but you'll have to do it more than once and comb your hair a lot.

My sister was stuck with lice for 2 years coming and going. She finally got rid of them for good by putting vaseline in her hair. She totally covered every inch of her head and left it for a while. she combed it out and everything was dead, the eggs too. It pretty much suffocates and disables them I guess. Only problem is your hair will be really oily for a while.

Make sure you clean your pillows and blankets and anything else that touches your head often.

  9. Well when I had lice like ten years ago I washed my hair a lot with a strong smelling shampoo and while I was in the shower With shampoo in my hair I would comb it many times with those small combs http://www.firstaidmonster.com/images/pr... and then they were disappearing. It also felt good cuz lice make ur head hella itchy. I heard that ice dont like clean hair cuz they starve n stuff its worth a try. Have you tried the lice shampoos that they sell at the stores?

  10. ummm  lice shampoo THAT WILL GET THEM OUT LOL
