Millwards Boom gets the best odds for winning the Stondon Puppy
Millwards Boom seems to be in a great position to win the Stondon Puppy greyhound race at Henlow in England on Thursday, March 15, 2012. The Grade OR event has a winning cash prize of £150.
The 460 metres flat race, which is scheduled to start at 20:26 GMT, will see six puppies in action and their names are: Millwards Boom, Markeys Dragon, Confident Ramona, Savana Ruby, Roseville Bullet and Coyote Bluff.
Out of the above mentioned puppies, the bookmakers have given the best odds to Millwards Boom, who is in very good shape at the moment. He has managed to set some decent trial times recently, which indicates that he is in good form.
However, the favourite hound will need to be at his best to win against five other quality runners. He was unable to make a solid impression in his previous couple of outings, thus might lack a bit of confidence.
P. Young’s trained runner finished fifth in his most recent appearance. He was up against some quality runners and needed a special effort to beat them. However, he got badly crowded at the start and was unable to recover from then onwards. The punters will be a touch hesitant over placing bets on him, but might miss an opportunity to earn some easy cash.
Today’s favourite puppy is the son of Droopys Kewell out of Droopys Geneva and was born in April 2010.
On the other hand, Markeys Dragon seems to be in good form right now, as he has the winning momentum. He was victorious in his most recent outing, which would have given him immense confidence.
However, H. Dimmock’s trained hound might find things a touch difficult this time around, as his last victory was in a shorter distance event. He will need to show good stamina in order to prevail at Henlow today.
The bettors would have closely monitored his last performance, thus they will be interested in risking some money on him. The black dog is the son of Ace Hi Rumble out of Droopys Dakota and was born in April 2010.
Confident Ramona and Savana Ruby will also be fancying their chances, as they are quite capable of winning races. However, they will have to show class in order to win in this class.
