The Grade A1 ‘Droopys Linford’ RGOA Dog Of The Month For April Trophy will be hosted by Romford over 400 metres flat on Wednesday, 30th May. Taking part in the contest for the £135 prize money are Droopys Linford, Oopys Harebell, Bubbly Africa,
Cragaknock Song, Millwards Daisy and Isit Possible.
Leading the line-up with the most impressive credentials is Millwards Daisy, Royal Impact’s two-year-old black and white daughter out of b***h, Droopys Isla.
The current season marks out to be her debut season which she shot in by getting drilled over 400 metres at Romford on 24th January. She was through with the distance in 24.91 seconds.
She kept a firm grip on her seasonal debut by completing the 400 metres trip in 24.93 seconds and taking on to the wire by a mere neck’s difference from the runner up, Aero Rage.
The performance of the two-year-old during this and the last month has witnessed her winning four times and getting trained twice.
She won a Grade A3 400 metres flat race on 9th April at Romford by timing the track distance in 24.31 seconds. The 5/2 favourite winner led the runner up, Backroad Ace, by five lengths as he went through the distance in 24.71 seconds.
Taking refuge with the third place was Sparklin Diamond.
After ending a dreadful sixth in the race right after that, Millwards Daisy was drilled over 400 metres at Romford on 24th April. She accomplished the task in 24.43 seconds.
The training did prove effective as she won a Grade A2 400 metres flat race on 28th April at Romford. She raced across the wire in 24.54 seconds and led the runner up of the race, Spruce Willis, by 1 ¼ lengths.
She was then successful in a Grade A2 400 metres flat race at Romford after completing the trip in 24.07 seconds and taking charge of the final five and a half lengths.
The other joint favourite of the race, Shenfieldexpress, ended fifth.
Till yet the last win of the two-year-old was in a Grade A1 400 metres flat race on 14th May at Romford. The 5/2 favourite took 24.33 seconds to settle the race and led the runner up, Blackstone Tommy, by two lengths.
