Millwards Impact to bag the Grade A1 400 metres at Romford on 23rd May
The Grade A1 400 metres flat will be hosted by Romford on Wednesday, 23rd May. The £135 event will be contested by Droopys China, Hi Mr Puckett, Murlens Murcia, Millwards Impact, Borna Blue and Pas Buster.
Among the line-up, the most convincing entry is Millwards Impact, Rumble Impact’s two-year-old black son out of b***h, Millwards Thebes.
He scored second in the seasonal debut on 22nd March at Henlow over 460 metres. Jaytee Bliss won the race in 27.84 seconds and led Millwards Impact by a good seven lengths.
This second score streak he extended till four through finishing second in three more races.
On 29th March, he settled right after Boogie On Conor who took 27.99 seconds to time the 460 metres at Henlow. Millwards Impact got deprived of the race by two and a half lengths.
He then struck a second position third time in a row on 3rd April at Romford over 400 metres. The race was won by Bumblebee Twink who timed the track distance in 24.55 seconds and led the field by a head’s difference.
On 10th April, Millwards Blag caught hold of a 400 metres race at Romford in 24.33 seconds as Millwards Impact finished the closest after leaping through the 5 ¼ lengths by which the winner led.
He finally claimed a race on 2nd May at Romford over 400 metres by clocking the track distance in 24.53 seconds. He led the runner up of the race, Droopys Blake, by a short head’s margin.
The 11/4 favourite of the race, Beat Them Bud, ended fifth.
Experiencing victory for just once, he again fell into the routine of finishing second.
It took him 26.61 seconds to complete the 415 metres trip of the Brendan Keogh Stakes on 6th May at Harlow. The race was won by the 11/10 favourite, Dods Little Gem, who timed the track distance in 26.31 seconds.
Settling third was Markeys Beo.
The final race till yet had Millwards Impact finishing third in a Grade A1 400 metres flat on 12th May at Romford after taking 24.33 seconds. The race was won by Red Ted who settled the affair in 24.23 seconds.
The consistency has made it possible for Millwards Impact to win once and can prove helpful in winning tonight.
