Millwards Impact to make an impact in Chase Restaurant Trophy Standard at Romford
The odds are not in Millwards Impact’s favour following his embarrassing defeat at the hands of Uh Oh Chongo earlier this week. Nonetheless, his consistent run is hard to overlook.
P. Young’s charge has a decent track record at Romford and holds an obvious chance in the Chase Restaurant Trophy Standard, a 400 metres open race, taking place on Friday, June 29th.
After grabbing the top rank in an A1 race, the black dog stepped up to this class in late May. He completely failed to cope up with the situation and as a result, finished fifth behind Oscars Cobra. A terrible defeat did not dent his confidence though, as
he did a wonderful job in his first outing this month.
In a similar race, the dashing dog retained his advantage from pillar to post. Alfies Sam appeared with a serious challenge in the final stages of the race, but Millwards Impact did well to top the table by a short head’s distance.
In his last appearance at Romford, he was beaten by Sable Blue. Yet, his performance was quite fascinating, as he seized the runner-up place despite getting bumped at the first bend.
Rumble Impact’s son out of Millwards Thebes has been steady over the past few weeks and therefore, it will be a good decision to support him.
Among his opponents are: Risky Fred, Droopys Chase, Surreal Rambler, Mountjoy Hawk and Beat Them Becks. According to the plan, the contest will be kicked off at 21:40 (GMT). A cash prize of £175 is reserved for the ultimate champion.
Risky Fred is a high profile runner, but needs plenty of effort to get back on the right path. Droopys Chase is a talented local runner, who has not recently done anything special at the open level.
Beat Them Becks recently ended his lean spell, but requires a fast start in order to fancy some chances tonight. Mountjoy Hawk hasn't been disgraced in defeat in the previous visits. Surreal Rambler has been struggling since his success at Hove last month.
