Millwards Matt likely to stand first in The John Smiths Peterborough Derby 2012 – Heat 8
The legendary trainer P. Young’s star pupil, Millwards Matt, is all set to stand first in the high-voltage race of The John Smiths Peterborough Derby 2012 – Heat 8 that will take place at Peterborough racecourse on Wednesday night, July 25.
For the title of the £100 Open Race, the two-year-old black dog will show his traditional class against five worthy rivals on the flat tack of 420 meters.
The dashing dog’s peak point came almost three weeks back when he marvellously bagged two consecutive OR victories at Romford.
First, the talented son of Big Daddy Cool out of Hondo Lass won the Coral Supports The Rgoa Standard over 400 meters by the big margin of 6 ½ lengths on June 29 and then claimed the glorious title of the Book Our Summer Sizzler In The Chase Restaurant Standard on July 6.
These two consecutive conquests have spiked up the young and momentous hound’s confidence level to a great extent. He moved on to get the runner-up rank in the Text Dogs To 60006 Trophy Standard again at the same venue on July 13.
Earlier during the first three months of the calendar year, the skilled sprinter achieved a number of iconic feats. Thus, it is quite obvious that Millwards Matt will be able to bring home another ace title convincingly.
Among the other hounds, Isheforreal seems to be strong enough. The David Pruhs trained white and black dog elegantly won four high-stakes races in a row from May 11 to June 1, 2012. He stepped forward to gain a third and a runner-up position in the two subsequent A15 races at the same venue that he will be offered to show his guts tonight.
It looks that the son of Royal Impact out of Thai Girl will pose a big challenge to Millwards Matt who, in turn, needs to employ an audacious strategy to survive. Thus, a thrilling and electrifying clash will be witnessed between these two hounds.
After all, Millwards Matt has higher chances to thrive. Let us see how he manages to keep his head high in face of the strong competitors. Good luck to him.
