Manchester City midfielder, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/James-Milner-c17706 might be sidelined for quite some time, as the City medical team has gone on to express their concern over the midfielder’s health.
Milner was sent to get a number of scans, as the medical staff was not quite sure just what was wrong with the player. At the moment, they fear the worst, as they assume he might have broken his toe or damaged his metatarsal to a great extent.
Should his injury be as serious as the one that is being assumed at the moment, then the midfielder could be forced to sit out for as many as eight weeks, as he recovers from his knock.
A source close to the club, when talking about Milner and his injury is reported to have said: “The medical staff at City are concerned that it's either a fracture or metatarsal damage which could keep him out for a couple of months if he doesn't get the
all clear"
This season, the midfielder has not managed to play a complete game for City. He has limited his league appearances to two, as he went on to put in performances against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 and QPR.
He was expected to feature against Real Madrid in the Champions League clash, but was eventually left on the bench for the game.
Following that match, it was believed that Milner was guaranteed to face http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429, but with him picking up the injury prior to the match against the Gunners, he was forced to sit that game out as well.
Last season, Milner went on to make a mere seventeen starts for City, as he was part of the side that went on to win the Premier League title. Despite him not being able to make as many starts as he would have wanted to, he was still a crucial part of the
team.
Given the current situation that the club is in, with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Samir-Nasri-c32360 being out injured, James Milner could have finally been given his chance to shine, had he not gone on to pick up a rather unfortunate injury himself.
