Manchester City’s midfielder, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/James-Milner-c17706 wants everyone to move on from the Carlos Tevez saga and focus on the future of the club.
Tevez went on to have a massive fall out at the Eastlands, after the player refused to come on in a game. Following this fall out, he was sidelined by the team and this resulted in him returning to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Argentina-c2841, without informing anyone at the club.
However, the player has now made his return to the club and even went on to apologize to everyone at the Eastlands for his actions.
As a result, Milner believes that it is pointless to think about what the player did in the past, since the team needs to focus on the future and just how important Tevez is to it.
When talking about Tevez and just how important he is to the side, Milner is quoted to have said: "Carlos is playing for Manchester City and playing well. He got a great hat-trick and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sergio-c33030 [Aguero] was fantastic.”
"There were a number of great performances at the weekend so it's pointless thinking about what might have been.”
"We're lucky to have a player like http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Carlos-c8346 Tevez playing the way he is and hopefully we get a few more hat-tricks out of him between now and the end of the season."
The City midfielder then went on to talk about the league and admitted that his side needed to keep giving it their all and hope for United to drop some points.
Milner is well aware of the points difference between the two teams, but feels that City could still end up coming out on top.
He then went on to add: "We've got tough games left and we'll try and win the rest of those and see where that takes us.”
"Manchester United are obviously a top side. They've got that experience of winning trophies and been there year upon year.”
Should Tevez be able to tap his former form once again, he could prove to be just what City need at this point in the season to go on and claim the Premier League title.
