The Serbian midfielder was in demand over the winter transfer window; however he rejected moves to Zenit St Petersburg and Tottenham in order to stay at Juve.
Milos Krasic is regretting his decision to remain at the Juventus Stadium and feels he should have moved on in January, when he had the chance.
Despite the unhappiness with his choice, the Serb is defiant that he will finalise a move away from the Turin side in the upcoming transfer window.
The playmaker decided to stay with the Old Lady in order to feature regularly in Antonio Conte’s side; however with time Krasic has realised that he is not a part of the manager’s plans. Even though he admits
that it will be hard to leave such a big club; he stated that he needs to think about his career as well.
There were rumours of interest from a number of clubs with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lazio-c39775 in the race to sign him besides Zenit and Tottenham, however, the enterprising midfielder has went on record to state that only
the latter two had made any proper bids for him. Furthermore stating that he declined lures from the Russian and London outfit for a chance in the Juve starting line up, and commented:
"At the end of the transfer window in January, there were offers from Tottenham and Zenit for a loan deal. I decided to decline those options in the belief that I would be given chances at Juventus.”
The creative midfielder was visibly disappointed with the lack of chances given to him, but he stated that it was a mistake on his part to stay.
Krasic transferred to Juventus in the summer of 2010 after spending six seasons at CSKA Moscow. He had a good first season with the Lady Killers, scoring seven goals in his first season.
The former Vojvodina midfielder explained his predicament, and stated:
"I am sorry that I have to leave Juventus. No-one would be happy to leave such a big club, especially after enjoying such a good first season and then being written off by the coach. It is in my best interest
to leave. At the moment I am trying to stay in good shape and preparing to find a new club in June."
Tottenham manager, Harry Redknapp, went on record to state that they could not sign Krasic due to his financial demands.
