Milwaukee Brewers’ Aramis Ramirez misses the game as the team lose –MLB Update
The Milwaukee Brewers third baseman Aramis Ramirez decided to take a break on Thursday, April 12, as the team was to take on the Chicago Cubs. Remaining one of the prolific hitters for the Brewers so far, his absence did make a difference for the team.
The Chicago Cubs got the upper hand in the game with absolute dominance on the Milwaukee Brewers offence. The Cubs victory was with a big margin of 8-0, underscoring the fact that Ramirez’s being in offence lends colossal strength to the offence.
Ramirez has driven five runs in the first six games for the Milwaukee Brewers. Even though he did have a slow start, whereby he had only 2 hits in 22 at-bats, his subsequent performance has testified to major improvement made.
As to when will he be available to play, he wants to be better and swing hard to bring more victories for the team. Weather, in his view, has a big role to play in helping him make a comeback soon enough.
"I don't want to use that as an excuse," Ramirez said Thursday, when right fielder Corey Hart filled in as Milwaukee's cleanup hitter. "I should be better. I'm going to work to get better. We're 4-2, and that's what matters. I'll get better. I'll get my
swing back."
He is making adjustments these days. Ramirez became the part of team in December last year when the Milwaukee Brewers signed him for three-year contract. He came at a time when the quality slugger Prince Fielder moved to the Detroit Tigers, creating a huge
vacuum.
Prince Fielder’s absence may continue to be felt, but Ramirez will have a huge role – in the meanwhile, to play for the Brewers. He will have a lifetime opportunity to prove his excellence as the hitter for the Brewers.
With a good career average and the consistency that he has demonstrated, Ramirez will indeed be an invaluable asset for the Brewers. In the games ahead, as the Brewers try to assert themselves, his will be an important role to strengthen the offence, and
go for timely hitting to help the team victories.
