Milwaukee Brewers Norichika Aoki to make adjustments – MLB News
The Milwaukee Brewers’ manager Ron Roenicke stated on Sunday, February 26, that the Japanese outfielder Norichika Aoki will be looking to make adjustments prior to the commencement of the 2012 Major League Baseball regular season.
The Brewers’ manager was speaking to the media personnel after the Norichika Aoki had his first workout in the camp as the team is inching closer to taking on their rivals. While the practice session at Phoenix has its rigour, the Japanese outfielder is
adapting himself to this new environment.
Being a part of the Tokyo Yakult Swallows previously, Norichika Aoki is considered one of the industrious and competitive outfielders known for his remarkable adaptability. However, much as the pattern of things is different in Japan, the MLB will have a
different set of things to be acquainted with.
It was this aspect that the team manager spoke about on Sunday as the day’s practice session concluded. The Milwaukee Brewers have formulated a different plan to carry the day in the MLB this year.
"I'm sure the workout here isn't what he was used to in Japan," Roenicke said Sunday morning. "He probably felt like he didn't do much yesterday."
As to how the workout is different here in the States from the one witnessed in Japan, Roenicke shed light on this aspect as well.
"The workout is different. In Japan, they believe that the more work you do, the better you're going to be," Roenicke said. "We feel a little different here. There needs to be a happy medium, mentally, for him, to feel like he's doing enough work to get
himself ready."
The Major League is known all and sundry for its set of rigorous practice sessions. It is these tough workouts that gradually enable the players in the League to excel, outshining the competitors with phenomenal ease and difference.
With the new settings to get adjusted with, the Japanese outfielder Norichika Aoki will certainly take some time to adapt. What remains to be seen is how he makes maximum use of the sessions with one of the best teams of Major League Baseball.
