Milwaukee Brewers’ Randy Wolf vows to set things right – MLB Playoffs
The Milwaukee Brewers’ left-handed pitcher Randy Wolf vowed on Wednesday, October 12 to reverse the tide after his disappointing start in the playoffs.
The veteran has featured in the Milwaukee Brewers for a while now gave up seven runs, allowing eight hits which included two home-runs against the Arizona Diamondbacks that turned the opportunity into calamity for him and the team.
Since then, he has not been slated to pitch in any of the post-season games so far. To regain the momentum he famously possesses, he needs another opportunity.
While he believes that a bad game is usually accompanied by negative headliners and more scathing criticism, he also trusts his ability to save the ship from complete wreckage.
"You have a bad game, it's definitely going to be heightened and it's going to be under a bigger magnifying glass [during the playoffs]," Wolf said. "But I feel the good thing that I've done this year, I've usually recovered and come back the next game and
pitched well. I think that you have to have a short memory and you have to learn from it.”
Having 12 years of experience on his shoulders and being 35-years-old, he won 13 games in the regular season whereby he played 33 games, pitching 212.1 innings and allowing 95 runs with 214 hits, maintaining a 3.69 ERA.
The fact that his venture to smash the Arizona Diamondbacks’ offence misfired and the team ultimately lost, Wolf thinks it will be different when it came to the St. Louis Cardinals.
He has a fairly good record to put on display against the Cardinals, with a 3-2 edge on them, having a 5.34 ERA in the total of five regular games that he played on behalf of the Milwaukee Brewers.
Although there is a mix of success and failure that go with the pitcher this year, he hopes any chance against the Cardinals will enable him to turn it into success. It will be interesting to see what type of impact Wolf will have for the Brewers in the
Series.
