Milwaukee Brewers’ Ryan Braun complimented for his speech – MLB News
The Milwaukee Brewers’ outfielder Ryan Braun received acknowledgement on Monday, January 23 for his carefully worded speech last week. The All-Star who faces a 50-game suspension shunned talking about the failed drug test and remained focused on the event
alone.
The club vice president of communications, Tyler Barnes, was of the view that although it was a difficult position for any player to be in, Braun did a terrific job. The recognition of the player for his accomplishments was indeed appreciable.
"It's a tough position for him to be in because this is a confidential process," Brewers’ Tyler Barnes said on Monday. "He really can't say anything. I thought he did a terrific job. It was really a neat experience for everyone who was there, to see Ryan
up there being recognized for his accomplishments in 2011."
Besides, news trickling in on Monday also pointed out to the fact that the player was ‘upbeat’. If the three-person jury decides to invalidate the report, he will be the first ever baseball player to have cleared any drug test.
Marred in the controversy that surfaced after the reported violation of Major League Baseball's Joint Drug Prevention and Treatment Program, Braun has patiently awaited the outcome. The player who has remained entitled to countless awards has, undeniably,
shown commendable grace all this while.
After all, for anyone who heard the speech on Saturday, it was Braun’s insistence on turning every adversity in an opportunity that shows the class of the player. Similarly, the famous commentator Dan Patrick claimed on Monday, that he had from a credible
source that Braun will avoid the suspension.
"Ryan Braun may be exonerated here," Patrick told his audience. "He may be found innocent. And judging from all of the information I was told, there's a good chance that he should be."
It is said that what Braun took was not a performance-enhancing drug rather the result was all related to personal medical issue. If that turns out to be true, Braun is all safe for the upcoming season; ready to take on the rival pitchers.
