Milwaukee Brewers beat the Washington Nationals 4-2 in the first game of their four-match regular series encounter on Friday, September 21 at Nationals Park in Washington.
"I think anytime you don't score for a long period it seems like the energy is gone, but I watched the way the guys were playing, We're still getting after it. I haven't for a long time -- I haven't seen this team just kind of show up. That's not what they're doing," Brewers' manager Ron Roenicke said later in the game.

"We have to win games. We're not in a position where we can rely on other people to lose, We knew heading into today's game that we finally had an opportunity to pick up a game if we won it looked improbable, we found a way again," said Braun on his performance and on his team’s overall performance which proved too good for the Nationals.
Third baseman Aramis Ramirez also did well on the mound as he scored one run and two hits along with one RBI as he was also managed to maintain his slugging percentage at .536.
