Milwaukee Brewers catcher Jonathan Lucroy needs surgery for fractured right hand – MLB News
The Milwaukee Brewers catcher Jonathan Lucroy’s situation is getting worse as now reports are coming that his right hand needs a surgery which will keep him out from baseball field for quite some time.
Recently some media personals approached Lucroy on telephone and asked some questions for his injury and on his potential return.
Lucroy said in detail about all aspects of his injury, "This is tough, guys, I was having a pretty decent year. We weren't having the year as a team, so far, that we wanted, but personally I was feeling pretty good and I wish that this kind of thing wouldn't have happened because I feel like I really could have helped the team win even more. There's obviously nothing we can do it now.”
He added with some details, “All I'm trying to do now is move on and try to heal up and try to help my team win any way I can in my limited capacity."
Before getting injured, Lucroy was playing with a decent hitting average of .345 along with five home-runs, 30 RBIs and .387 OBP.
Lucroy is young player and only possesses two years experience, but with age and the level of experience he has gained from the Major League is exceptional.
Having two years experience into the biggest baseball league in the world, Lucroy is carrying .274 hitting along with 21 home-runs, 115 RBIs and .321 OBP is considered one of the best young groomed players in the competition.
From beginning, though he started from Minor League, but the level of enthusiasm and talent he showed the Brewers scouts and Minor League coaches, he soon able to make a good impression and eventually started playing in the Majors since May 10, 2010.
Now since he has been injured and out from baseball field, the Brewers management is getting anxious and want him to return soon with full recovery.
Brewers are also getting anxious for his return that their next three to four encounters are with big teams and if they do poorly, their post season chances will effectively be wiped out.
