Milwaukee Brewers crush Chicago Cubs 15-4 – MLB Recap
The Milwaukee Brewers crushed the Chicago Cubs 15-4 in the first game of their four-match regular series encounter on Monday, August 27 at Wrigley Field in Chicago.
Brewers’ entire batting line-up played brilliantly and earned a great victory for their team. Their entire batting line-up contributed and literally proved their valour.
Right fielder Norichika Aoki scored two runs and smashed two hits. He played well on his four at-bats as he added an RBI and his slugging percentage also remained consistent at .399.
Rickie Weeks also did well on his six at-bats as he scored two runs and smashed three hits. He remained calm on the plate and maintained his slugging percentage at .369.
Left Fielder Ryan Braun also played with great energy. He scored three runs on his six at-bats while he also added five RBIs in his team’s tremendous victory.
"I don't remember ever being a part of it other than the time we led off the game," Braun said. "It's not going to happen very often, so you try and enjoy that moment when it does happen. Obviously in the ninth inning it got out of hand, But up until then
it was a really close game, tightly contested."
Aramis Ramirez scored two on three hits while he added four RBIs as well on his five at-bats. His presence proved one of the winning factors for the Brewers as well.
"(Cubs fans) also have to understand that it's a process and that the new front office came in with a plan and they're going to execute it, It's going to be painful," Ramirez said.
Centre fielder Carlos Gomez also played well as he added three runs on four hits for the Brewers along with a RBI on his consistent .470 slugging percentage.
Not only hitters, but the Brewers’ pitchers also did well on the mound and earned a decent victory.
Starter Marco Estrada started the game for the Brewers and pitched five innings and allowed three runs and six hits. He struck-out eight while he did manage to maintain his ERA at 4.02.
The Brewers will definitely feel happy about their performance as they managed to get their offence to fire and silence the Cubs by a huge margin.
