Milwaukee Brewers edge past Los Angeles Dodgers 6-2 – MLB Recap
The Milwaukee Brewers edge past the Los Angeles Dodgers 6-2 in the fourth game of their four-game regular series encounter on Thursday, May 31 at Dodger Stadium in 2012 Major League Baseball season.
The Brewers are having great time as they won their fourth game in a row and are now roaring ahead of Pittsburgh Pirates series.
From start to end, the Brewers pitchers never allowed the Dodgers batters to take control of the game.
The game started off well when the Brewers took early lead two runs’ in the second inning. Though the Dodgers’ were also coming fine when they decreased the lead to one run into the bottom second but the Brewers again created a two runs’ gap in the later inning.
In the meanwhile, from fourth inning own-wards, the Brewers never let the Dodgers play easy and kept them under pressure.
Later in the ninth inning, the Dodgers made another score but it was too difficult to pass the four’ runs and eventually they lost with bitter humiliation.
Milwaukee manager Ron Roenicke was happy for his team’s win but he also looked worried for Brewers’ ace pitcher Ryan Braun who did not play this game.
"He should be back in there tomorrow, If he comes in tomorrow and he's stiff, then we'll change that. But he felt pretty good today and was ready to pinch hit. So he should be ready." Roenicke said for Braun.
Dodgers were also playing without their ace hitter Matt Kemp as Tony Gwynn Jr., who has been brought back into the roster in Kemp’s absence, told the media, "We were 9-5 without Matt the first time, so regardless of whether he was in the lineup or not, they should feel pretty good about themselves, they just swept a first-place team that still leads their division by five games right now. So if the show was on the other foot, I think we'd feel the same way."
On the other hand, the Dodgers are going to play against the Colorado Rockies in their next potential three match series and Brewers will face Pittsburgh Pirates.
