Milwaukee Brewers lose to Washington Nationals 2-12 – MLB Recap
Milwaukee Brewers lost to Washington Nationals 2-12 in the fourth and final game of their four-match regular series encounter on Monday, September 24 at Nationals Park in Washington.
Brewers’ played under pressure during the entire game lost with bitter humiliation in the end. Nationals’ however, played extremely aggressive and rattled the Brewers with great determination and focus.
Nationals’ scored quick runs and capitalised on their offensive strengths which eventually proved fruitful as they ousted the Brewers with style.
Right fielder Jayson Werth scored one run and smashed two hits along with two RBIs on his four at-bats. He showed his offensive game and helped the Nationals defeat their opponents.
"I don't remember a worse sun field, worse sun conditions, You almost don't have a chance out there as the game goes on," said Werth.
Werth said, "It is just a matter of being lucky and not getting a ball hit to you when it's in your field of vision, Even then, if the ball is hit to your left early in the game, it goes into the sun. And if it goes to your right later in the game, it goes in the sun. And if it's hit right at you in the middle of the game, you are in trouble."
Centre fielder Bryce Harper added two runs and smashed one hit on his consistent three at-bats. He also played well and earned a good victory for the Nationals.
Pinch hitter Eury Perez scored one run and smashed one hit on his persistent slugging percentage of .500.
Third baseman Ryan Zimmerman was the man to watch in the Nationals' line-up as he scored two runs and hammered three hits while he also ran for four important RBIs on his four at-bats.
He played aggressive and kept the Brewers' pitchers under pressure with his .483 slugging percentage.
Nationals’ pitchers also did well on the mound and outclassed the Brewers' batters with a big margin.
Starter Jordan Zimmermann pitched 6.2 innings and received only one run. He was smashed with four hits while he struck-out seven Brewers’ batters on his consistent 2.90 ERA.
