Milwaukee Brewers rout San Diego Padres 6-5 – MLB Update
The Milwaukee Brewers edge past the San Diego Padres in the third and final game of their three-match regular series encounter on Sunday, June 10 at Miller Park in 2012 Major League Baseball season.
With this win, the Brewers also won the series and now sitting quite comfortable in the National League Central Division.
The entire Brewers’ side played well and earned a great win over the Padres. They played as one unit and took the game away in style.
Left fielder Ryan Braun made two runs and three important RBIs which proved decisive for the Brewers’ win.
"It was another game that was hard to enjoy at the end, It was a good thing we came out winning it, but we shouldn't let a game get away like that." Brewers’ manager Ron Roenicke said of his team who played well in the final of the series.
Ron Roenicke added, "With those two arms, with Frankie (Rodriguez) and Ax back there, when we go into a game like this we shouldn't have too much trouble winning. And certainly we did today, Yovani I thought threw the ball really well, A little off in his
first couple innings, then he settled down, and his command was really good, using all his pitches.”
Starter Yovani Gallardo pitched seven innings and received only five hits and two runs. He struck out five batters and maintained his 4.21 ERA.
On the other hand, the Padres starter Anthony Bass could not play his natural game and lost the game for his team. He pitched 5.2 innings and received four runs and four earned runs with five hits as well.
From start, the Padres looked sharper in the field as they took early lead of two runs’ in the second innings. The next three innings went scoreless however, in the very next inning, the Brewers hitters started their run and remained dominant towards ninth
inning as they defeated their opponents with narrow margin of one run.
In the meanwhile, the Brewers are now at fourth position in the National League Central Division with 28-32 win loss and .467 winning percentage.
