Milwaukee Brewers thrash the Padres by 6-4
The Milwaukee Brewers’ set forth another strong show on Thursday, March 15, to beat the San Diego Padres by 6-4. Equipped with the strong defence available to the team, the Brewers – with the timely assistance by the offence, won another emphatic victory
in the Cactus League.
The Brewers had Chris Narveson to rely on in Thursday’s game as he pitched over 3 innings, allowing absolutely no runs apart from a couple of hits that he gave up. Narveson also had 2 strikeouts to his credit to lend help to the Brewers offence which was
on fire.
His command was also complimented by the team manager Ron Roenicke. "He got through it well," Roenicke said. "His command was off. He was all over the place, but he also made some great pitches."
Thursday’s game saw the Brewers starters throwing up sixty pitches, masterfully executing each to dominate the Padres.
"It's good to be able to put zeroes up, execute your pitches," said Narveson. "You stay simple and then take it from there. I've had some great springs and some not as good. All you can worry about is your body and make sure that is working," he said.
Logan Schafer, Taylor Green, Aramis Ramirez, Jonathan Lucroy, Brooks Conrad, and Eric Farris scored a run each to take the score up for the Milwaukee Brewers. Dustin Moseley of the San Diego Padres gave up a run in 4 strong innings.
Micah Owings turned out to have an exorbitantly costly spell of pitching for the Padres whereby he gave up no less than 5 runs in over an inning that he pitched, allowing 4 hits; fully capitalized by the Brewers hitters.
The San Diego Padres did their bit to stage a comeback in the game; but to their utter disappointment, none succeeded.
The Brewers bullpen, even though coming with a supposedly strong closer, faltered, allowing 4 runs in the last four innings, did not let the Padres go beyond that, winning an ultimate 6-4 victory over the Padres.
With the win here, the Brewers have relayed a clear message to the teams in the National League that they are ever ready to trounce any and every rival.
