Milwaukee Bucks agree to a $45 million - five year deal to keep Ersan Ilyasova – NBA Report
The Milwaukee Bucks have agreed to a five year contract with 6 ft 10 in forward Ersan Ilyasova for a reported $45 million over the life of the contract.
Ilyasova has been with the Bucks ever since he arrived in NBA, and just completed his fourth season with the Bucks this past season.
“Free agent forward Ersan Ilyasova is close to an agreement on a five-year, $45 million contract to stay with the Milwaukee Bucks, agent Tolga Tugsavul tells HoopsHype,” reports HoopsHype.
Ilyasova is a versatile player who was one of the best forwards on the market this year. He has the ability to get into the low post area and score while he can also grab rebounds on both ends of the floor.
This past season, he averaged 13 points and 8.8 rebounds per game, both career highs. He was a requirement for the Bucks going forward as he is their main rebounder and the only player in the starting five who can penetrate into
the low post and score from within.
Ilyasova has signed a big contract with the Bucks that extends for the next five years. This means that the Bucks are looking to have him as one of the main players of the franchise as they look to the future. He will team up with
fellow starters including Samuel Dalembert, Brandon Jennings and Monta Ellis next season and look to improve the team’s record from last season.
This past season, the Milwaukee Bucks were in stiff competition with the Philadelphia 76ers and the New York Knicks for the 8th spot in the Eastern Conference and a berth in the playoffs.
The Sixers and the Knicks ended the regular season on a good note and clinch the victories that ensured a playoff berth, something the Bucks could not manage due to a tougher itinerary.
The Bucks however have a cast talented enough to atleast make it to the playoffs, and with their main assets secure, a successful season  is bound to come soon.
