Milwaukee Bucks centre Andrew Bogut held out of practice due to back spasms
Milwaukee Bucks centre Andrew Bogut was held out of practice on Monday due to back spasms. Bogut, who suffered the injury during the Bucks' 82-81 loss against the
Oklahoma City Thunder last Saturday, told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel that he is not sure if he would be in the line-up for his team's match against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday night.
"I hurt it (the back) before the game last game, and then during the game it kind of flared up a little bit," Bogut told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. "I took
a hit (against the Thunder) and yesterday I was doing treatment. It's just sore."
May not play
"It's hard to say right now," Bogut said when asked if he would be able to play in the Bucks' two-game trip against Cleveland. "The way I feel right now, no, but
48 hours is a long time. Hopefully I'll be all right."
In the game against the Thunder, the former University of Utah standout played 30 minutes and produced eight points and 12 rebounds. It was reported that Bogut
and Bucks coach Scott Skiles argued during the game. However, he downplayed the heated discussion.
"There was nothing really to it," Bogut said. "We just wanted to win and obviously got fired up at each other but that was about it."
Milwaukee dropped to a 5-8 overall after the loss. The squad currently has a 4-2 slate against Eastern Conference opponents.
"We've played bad against bad teams and good against good teams, and we need to correct that right now," Bogut told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. "We're playing
teams right now that have records about where we are and worse."
"We can't take that granted because we're bad. We need to get three of the next four or four of the next four, however we look at it. Because after this week we've
got two tough games on the road, at Utah and Denver. December is a h**l of a month for us."
Bogut said that he will see an acupuncturist for possible treatment options.
