Milwaukee Bucks strengthen their front court by signing Joel Przybilla
In order to add versatility and depth to their front court, the Milwaukee Bucks have secured the services of free agent centre Joel Przybilla.
The 32 year old, probably at the end of his playing days, has come over to the Bucks – the team he began his NBA career with. Originally a selection by the Houston Rockets as their 9th pick back in 2000, Przybilla was
dealt over to the Bucks immediately. He averages 4 points, 6.3 rebounds and 1.4 blocks in his career which has taken him all over the NBA.
Przybilla has spent time playing for Atlanta Hawks, Portland Trail Blazers and the Charlotte Bobcats and in his second tenure with the Bucks; he will be playing alongside young draftee John Henson and veteran Samuel Dalembert.
Jeremy Lin set to host a basketball camp in China
Linsanity has inspired quite a few players in its short span and now Jeremy Lin wants to offer the same kind of excitement to people in Southern China by holding a basketball camp for young kids.
The aim of this camp to provide the young kids interested in the game of basketball with enthusiasm to reach their goals. The former New York Knicks star believes that his Asian heritage will help him reach out to the young children.
"I want every kid to leave the camp feeling like they had really fun time" Lin said, "they can't wait to go back home and continue to play."
After having a short yet successful run with the Knicks, Lin will adorn the colours of the Houston Rockets in the coming season – the same team, China’s own Yao Ming had been a part of in his time in the NBA.
Washington Wizards hire Jerry Sichting, a former NBA player as the new assistant coach
The Washington Wizards made the announcement on Thursday that they have appointed former NBA player Jerry Sichting as their new assistant coach.
Sichting had spent 10 years in the league with five different organizations as a player before deciding to hang up his boots and go into coaching. He has worked with Randy Wittman as an assistant coach previously when they were
together with the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Prior to joining the Wizards, the 55 year old served as an assistant coach with Golden State Warriors.
