Mince, Haamaat joint favourites for E B F Play Poker With Grosvenor Casinos Stakes at Haydock
The spectators at Haydock are going to witness a nerve-wracking clash between Mince and Haamaat in the E B F Play Poker With Grosvenor Casinos Stakes (Registered As The Cecil Frail Stakes), taking place on Saturday, June 2nd.
The class-1 meeting, which will be held over six furlongs, has attracted 10 fast and furious contestants. Their names are: Haamaat, Ladies Are Forever, Pepper Lane, Sioux Rising, Artistic Jewel, Inetrobil, Intense Pink, Mince,
My Propeller and Villeneuve.
A cash prize of £18,714 is reserved for the ultimate champion. According to the plan, the meeting will be started at 16:40 GMT. An exciting battle is on the cards, as there are plenty of strong rivals in the line-up.
Mince has been maintaining the highest standards since the outset of her career. The 3-year-old is doing a fantastic job this season as well, as she did well in both of her appearances lately.
After missing the top rank by a head’s distance, the Roger Charlton-trained did not lose her confidence and performed magnificently last time out. The spectators at Newmarket saw her topping the table in the CoralChampionsClub.co.uk
Sprint Trophy (Handicap) earlier this month.
Medicean’s daughter is in good shape these days and has a good chance of dominating the proceedings this weekend. The dashing filly has registered three wins so far in her career.
Out of others, Haamaat seems to the strongest candidate. The 4-year-old is also doing a superb job this season. In her most recent outing, William Haggas’ trainee demonstrated a fabulous show, sealing the top rank easily at
Kempton.
Artistic Jewel is another to consider. The 3-year-old was mighty impressive last season, as she won three of her five outings last year. The ongoing season is yet to see her magic, as she was not impressive in her only appearance
this season. In a high profile meeting at Nottingham, Ed McMahon’s trainee could not do well and as a result, finished fifth on the table.
Our calculations suggest that there will be a close battle between Haamaat and Mince. The latter gets our vote, because she is in slightly better form these days. Good luck to everyone.
