Mince to bring the progressive form in use for the Group 3 John Guest Bengough Stakes
Quite a handful line-up has gathered for the Group 3 John Guest Bengough Stakes to take back to the connections the £39,697 prize money. Thirteen three-year-old and above will race over six furlongs on Saturday, 6th October, 2012 at Ascot race course. The highlights in the field include the highly progressive, Mince, and the winner of the 2009 and 2011 edition of the race, Royal Rock.
The three-year-old chestnut filly, Mince, has been extra ordinary in the last three outings, improvising with each success. Winning the race today will stretch the winning streak to four from the hat-trick.
Four out the seven seasonal outings have been recorded as success against her name. The favourite entry won the coralchampionsclub.co.uk Sprint Trophy (Handicap) on 19th May, 2012 at Newmarket over six furlongs.
Taking advantage of the navigating sense of jockey, Frankie Dettori, she gained prominence towards the concluding strides of the race, defeating Bartolomeu, by a head’s mark.
Filling in the third position was, Top Cop.
Two dreadful failures got her racing away with the prize money of the Dubai Duty Free Shergar Cup Sprint (Handicap) on 11th August, 2012 at Ascot race course over six furlongs.
Mince and jockey, Matthew Chadwick, went past the joint favourite of the race, Galician, by just half-length.
She was literally unstoppable in the initial furlongs of the race, but her comfort zone was invaded which ended in the squeezed margin.
The other joint favourite, Heeraat, ended fourth in the field of ten.
Medicean’s filly then came out successful from the British Stallion Studs EBF Flying Fillies’ Stakes (Listed Race) on 19th August, 2012 at Pontefract race course over six furlongs.
Sustaining the winning manner, she was entered as the favourite, and was once again coupled with the genius of his profession jockey, Frankie Dettori.
She beat Ultrasonic to the second position by the margin of two lengths.
She made the trio possible for herself by defeating Colour Of Love by 3 ½ lengths in the Celebrating 45 Years Of Betfred Garrowby Stakes (Listed Race) on 9th September, 2012 at York race course over six furlongs.
All the three successes had a different partner to share the credit, while the 5 to 2 entry retains James Doyle, for the race today.
