I've been having a problem lately with falling asleep at night. My mind just won't stop thinking and yet I'm too tired to even roll over.

I'm thirteen and I've been through a lot of emotional stuff lately (no I'm not whining like the other kids). My real dad just found me and my parents keep fighting.

Not matter what I do, I just can't silence my thoughts and it's so hard to get to sleep.

help?

  1. You are going through a lot and it is going to be tough to not have a stressful time. Talking to someone will help. Telling your parents how you feel should make a difference. When I was young my parents fought a lot also and I never said how it made me feel. I wish I would have now b/c it could have changed something. Getting your feelings out  to someone is going to help with your mind racing. Try to look at this as a good experience for you to grow and learn. What happens in your life now is going to determine your future. I hope that this helps. Good luck.

  2. You are going through some anxiety right now. Its normal, everyone has it a lot in there lifetime.. If it becomes excessive and you can't sleep and can't do your daily things you should get some help although you are only 13 and that is a lot of stuff to go through at that age and it is tough. Try to relax right before bedtime.. Take a warm bath, read a book or watch a funny movie and maybe you will sleep more peacefully. I wish you the best!! Good luck!
